A Taste of the Harvest
Our Spring Tea Sampler is the perfect way to taste the range of flavors offered in these wonderful spring teas. Sampler includes: savory Silver Needle, delicious Dragon Well and malty sweet Golden Monkey.
Silver Needle - a rare white tea - plucked from the Da Bai varietal of Fuding County, the liquor of this spring treat is delicate and sweet with a savory mouth feel. The young buds are a light greenish color and covered with tender, downy hair that gives them a velvety appearance. The finest lots are harvested in mid-to-late March into the first days of April and only with ideal weather conditions.
Dragon Well - a famous green tea - offers a robust taste, very natural with just a hint of astringency and a vibrant taste. Made with a first-grade leaf, consistent "feather-shape" size and jade-like color - characteristic of this prized green. The leaf is wok-fired, but not at high temperatures, thus accentuating its sweet, natural side.
Golden Monkey - a "hong cha" - this ever popular black tea was harvested "before the rain" in the first week of April. Its aroma is fruity, with some hints of malt. With cupping, the tea offers a sweet, fruity mouth feel with a clean and lingering finish.
Sampler is two ounces of each tea individually packaged. Brewing instructions are included.

Supporting adults with disabilities
Silk Road Teas is more than just tea. We are committed to giving back to our community by providing jobs packaging our teas to disabled adults. As the older brother of a disabled person, Ned Heagerty, Silk Road Teas President, recognized the challenges and limited opportunities disabled adults face. So he wanted to make a difference. It is a small step, but it is an action we believe in and will continue to follow. Recently, we were honored by receiving the Employer of the Year Award from Integrated Community Services (ICS) for our commitment to employ persons with disabilities.
Selected by the finest shops and restaurants
