Dragon Well Organic (Lung Ching)
Our organic Dragon Well was harvested mid-April as the weather warmed to the elevation of the farm in Zhejiang Province. The leaf is medium size showing classic colors of jade green and rich, yellow-golds. Note the light "fuzz" on the leaves indicating an early-pick and the unmistakably delicious aroma that suggests its fresh taste. Cup liquor offers a nutty note and a sweet flavor with a pleasing, lingering aftertaste. This green has been carefully processed preserving the best qualities of the varietal. Made in the traditional manner by firing in a wok, this lot is an excellent choice for an everyday tea, refreshment or after a meal as a digestive. We suggest a shorter steep time of about 2 minutes.

As the older brother of a disabled person, Ned Heagerty, Silk Road Teas President, recognized the challenges and limited opportunities disabled adults face. So he wanted to make a difference. It is a small step, but it is an action we believe in and will continue to follow. Recently, we were honored by receiving the Employer of the Year Award from Integrated Community Services (ICS) for our commitment to employ persons with disabilities.

Our award-winning teas are proudly served at these and other fine restaurants, stores and tea shops.
The Silk Road Teas Story
Dragon Wells are rated by the uniformity of leaf size and appearance.
The slight sheen on the leaf is the trace of tea oil used in the wok.
Good Organic Green Tea

For healthy living reasons, several years ago I switched from coffee to green tea and, happily, I've never looked back. Wanting to take it a step further, I thought i should look for an organic green tea but, until recently, organic green teas were hard to find. As a regular SRT Dragon Well and Silver Needle customer, I was very happy to see SRT offering an "organic" Dragon Well green tea. Yahoo! I've been enjoying this tea for the past month. It's grassy, nutty, full bodied, and organic ( a higher standard)…everything a passionate green-head would want.
This is a very good tea.

Wonderful Organic Dragon Well

This tea has the most delightful taste. The flavor is subtle and I find it revives me more than other drink. I particularly enjoy it in the morning when my taste buds are wide open.
Not what I was accustom too ...

I used to buy this Long Ching tea from another store but they no longer carried it (which was a huge disappointment) and ... here goes the beginning of my relationship with Silk Road Teas. I started with this grade and albeit the cost was lower than what I used to buy, it was also nothing like I remembered of the taste of Dragon Well, a tea that was an experience for me at every cup.
This one is however not bad but and I would qualify it as average. Indeed, an every day tea, good for a mid-morning cup. It has that pleasing green color alright. If you seek an introductory experience, this may be for you. As for me, will try the first grade next.
