Our CT WuLong is a high-fired Tieguanyin cultivar made to local customs. Leaf is dark, rich brown in color. Steeps to a beautiful, russet-orange sweet liquor. Toasty, CT offers persistent sweet flavors and aromas of wood and spice. Tea is ideal for leisurely sipping and accompanying food 

Lot Notes. Not an oolong typically found in the U.S. as it is made for local consumption. We are reminded of Iron Goddess oolong but this tea goes deeper in the roasting process and uses a more flat style leaf. The leaf is quite aromatic and deep brown in color. Harvest date was May 2022. 

Tea Facts. Grown in the coastal range near Xiamen in Fujian Province. Cultivar is a Tieguanyin. It is flat leaf, no leaf rolling, high fire. 

Tasting Notes. Steeps to a clear russet-orange cup. Taste is "gan" rich and toasty, flavors persist with no astringency. Roasted with nuanced almond and spicy notes.

Brewing Suggestions. We suggest 3 grams or a tablespoon of leaf for 6-8 ounces of water. Rinse the leaves with water at boiling temperature and pour off. Reinfuse for two minutes and enjoy. Leaves will yield multiple steeps.
