The leaves are crafted to offer the "4 uniques" of this famed tea - jade color, vegetative aroma, chestnut-like flavor and a feather shape.
Tea Facts. Grown organically in Zhejiang Province. Harvest date is April 2024. Farm location is well outside the congested urban area and the effects of its factory belt. Leaves are small to medium in size. Note the light "fuzz" on the leaves and the unmistakably delicious aroma that supports its fresh taste.
Tasting Notes. Crisp flavors and a rich vegetal aroma. Steeped, this lot offers sweet, nutty, chestnut-like notes. Cup liquor is green-yellow and clean. The finish will linger with sweet flavors.
Brewing Suggestions. We suggest using 2-2.5 grams of leaf (a teaspoon) for 6-8 ounces of water. Best if the water temperature is well below boiling at 195 F. Steep for 2 minutes and taste. All the taste notes should be open at this stage. For a stronger cup, steep 2.5 minutes and enjoy. Leaves provide multiple steeps.
