Our blend of fresh, organic peppermint, made with a varietal grown in the Pacific Northwest, is blended with an organic Gunpowder green tea from Zhejiang Province, to create a cool, soothing and refreshing cup. This tea blend can be enjoyed hot and chilled over ice.

Lot Notes.
This blend has proven very popular as a refreshing cup. After finding a really tasty organic Peppermint grown in the Pacific Northwest, its minty flavors match well with the pungent green notes of our Gunpowder. Strong in taste and clean in its finish, this is a stimulating cup! This blend contains caffeine.

Tasting Notes.
This cup is vibrant, full flavored and lively aromas. The mint enlivens, soothes and with the small amount of green tea mixed in, there is stimulation as well. It will aid in digestion and goes well with spicy foods.

Brewing Suggestions.

Use 3 grams (or a teaspoon) per 8 oz. water at 185-205 F for 2.5 minutes. Steeping longer will bring up strong Peppermint flavors and Gunpowder pungency.

Full-leaf green teas will open to layered, delicate flavors. The freshly picked leaves are dehydrated to prevent oxidization and preserve their natural green color. Japanese green teas are steamed to preserve their fresh aromas and flavor notes. It is best if green tea is not brewed with boiling water.

Lower temperature water allows the leaves to steep slowly, preserving their natural sweetness. Green teas and yellow teas offer a gentle vegetal aroma. In the mouth, flavors range from spring asparagus and delicate notes of sorrel and raw vegetables to herbaceous and nutty.
